Who are the folks you chat with, Sammy?

It's a creative group - Creative Adventurers. I took a short creative jumpstart course last January and then we continued with a five-week course this January (Making it Mighty Ugly, based on the book by Kim Werker). Some of you might remember her as the woman who interviewed Joss Whedon for a crocheting magazine several years ago. She lives in Vancouver - and I met her at a Buffy Sing-Along - and writes, teaches and podcasts about crafting and creative endeavours. With the current world situation (participants are from all over North America), we are now doing video chats once a week instead a couple of times a month. Most of the participants are involved in fabric crafts: knitting, crocheting, weaving, sewing, etc. I do some knitting and baking, of course, but mostly writing. I'll post pictures of my Mighty Ugly creations in the Picture Thread.

Speaking of comments, If you can see the two comments on RMMC’s hi post, then that answers one of your questions. I agree that it seems like overkill, but there are cases where it would be convenient, like if you want to say something about a reply way up thread.

I can see them. I guess I am just used to discussion boards simply quoting whatever reply, wherever in the thread, and my brain kind of seizes up on the idea that there could be replies I don't know about because they were done as post-comments.

I got a happy b-day e-mail from Goners and I'd thought this place was gone. So here I am checking in. I got an e-mail notification a while back from RMMC via Dragon Cave, but I don't use that site any more (that's all I can say in public) and I couldn't figure any way to contact her. I'm still alive. I almost retired a couple of years ago, then Covid came and I'm not comfortable moving halfway across the country (CA to TX) right now so I continue to work. Hello to all my old buds.

Meanwhile here I sit at 11:30pm, it's 38 degrees outside, and closing in on 50 inside, because of a mysterious electrical problem wherein one-third of my apartment is only barely getting any power while the rest of it is fine, but one of the circuits that's effectively out are my cadet wall heaters, and my f*cking landlord can't seem to get ahold of any 24-hour electricians.
