Here's a thing: have we always been able to "comment" on a particular post rather than replying to the overall thread, or did they come about sometime after I drifted away? How do you know those comments are even there if they aren't comments to one of your own posts? Do you just…not?

This seems like a cognitively complicated thing, having post-comments and thread-replies.
